About

The TAS U14 program is for 12-13-year-olds who want to refine advanced skiing skills and continue alpine ski racing. This program also advanced training and competitive racing opportunities. We emphasize basic racing fundamentals and develop technical racing skills and gate racing tactics in all alpine racing events, preparing the skier for competition and an easy transition to higher levels of racing.

U14 $3500 (Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday night)

U14 Add on $500 (Thursday night)

This is pricing before October 115th. After that date, there is a $150 increase.  You must pay in full by November 30th.

Weekend training starts in early December and runs through the end of March. Evening weekday training starts in January and ends in March. Tuition includes Christmas Camp but does not include Fall Camps or Thanksgiving Camp.
The evening training starts in January and ends in March.

Daily Activities

Training is typically at West; Alpental may be used as an alternative. Weekly emails will be sent detailing plans. Training begins at 8:45 am, lunch 11:30-12:30; the program ends at 3:00 pm. Times and places subject to change.

Dryland

Included in tuition. Starts September, must be registered and signed the waiver before eligible to participate.

Ability Requirements

No formal racing experience is necessary. Athletes must be able to ski all runs at the Summit at Snoqualmie, including all runs at all four mountains: Alpental, West, Central, and East. Athletes also need the ability to ski advanced terrain with linked, parallel turns. They must be able to load the chairlift without an adult. They must be able to listen and follow directions from an adult. Athletes must be mature enough to separate from parents without anxiety. This is not a ski school and the focus is on racing fundamentals (technique and tactics).

Equipment Requirements

GS and SL skis required. Ski Racing HELMETS are required for all athletes. Athletes U14 and older must use helmets that meet the new FIS standards. Slalom does not require FIS sticker helmets. Many athletes use their older helmets for Slalom or have a slalom specific helmet. Look for this sticker on the back:
